Off the crossbar: Online apparel retailer leaks Thomas Müller National Team news?

If you’ve been reading this blog for the last couple of years, you will have surely seen numerous articles about Bayern Munich’s Thomas Müller and his exclusion from the German National Team. With Joachim Löw stepping down after this summer’s Euro 2020, we expect the Raumdeuter to get called back up soon. Pressure is mounting to bring him back for the Euros. But it looks like the news of Müller’s return may have been leaked by an unlikely source.

While we all had our eyes on our traditional news outlets like Kicker, TZ, AZ, Bild, ESPN and others — the sports apparel retailer, Fanatics, silently broke the news. Like other retailers, Fanatics is now selling the new Germany all-black away kit. As you can see by the screenshot below, they are selling a number 13 Thomas Müller kit in the new style. They must know something we do not!

I don’t know about you, but I will now be browsing through random products on retail sites to piece together my news and confirm any and all sports theories I want to be true. After this discovery, it is the only logical thing to do.
