Julian Draxler has been recently linked to Bayern Munich as well as other Bundesliga clubs. The German’s contract at Paris Saint-Germain expires at the end of June making him a prime target for a free transfer. Now however, it appears that Draxler has been offered a contract at PSG. This information comes from L’Equipe, via Sport Bild.
It is alleged that the 27-year-old will be offered a one-year contract extension at the French giants. This potential contract would expire in the summer of 2022. Under Mauricio Pochettino, Draxler has played fairly frequently as of late, even starting in Champions League games PSG had with Bayern.
But to be frank, news of a contract extension should be pleasant for Bayern fans. Draxler is mediocre at best, and wouldn’t add anything to this Bayern team despite take away minutes from players like Jamal Musiala. While Draxler is repeatedly linked to a move to Munich, it doesn’t seem wise in the near future, given the levels of competition in his positions at the club.
