According to a report from Abendzeitung reporter Maximilian Koch, Bayern Munich manager Hansi Flick has decided to give his team three days off to rest and relax before resuming preparations to finish off the Bundesliga season.
The move was surely popular with players, who have looked tired, lethargic, and generally not sharp for a stretch now:
Erholungspause für die Stars des @FCBayern nach dem vergebenen Meister-Matchball in Mainz: Erst am Mittwoch bittet Trainer Hansi #Flick wieder zum Training. Vorher hat der Coach noch ein wichtiges Gespräch mit dem Vorstand. #FCBayern

Rest break for the stars of the @FCBayern after missing the championship match ball in Mainz: Coach Hansi #Flick will not ask them to return to training until Wednesday. Before that, the coach has an important meeting with the board. #FCBayern
The last part of Koch’s tweet is very interesting as well. We had already heard that Flick was due to meet with the Bayern Munich big wigs to discuss his future, but this now seems to be heading directly toward a conversation on how to best move forward with completing a mutual separation.
Clearly, everyone involved would like a resolution one way or the other as soon as possible.
