Per Sport Bild chief reporter Christian Falk, Manchester United does not have Bayern Munich center-back Niklas Süle sitting atop its wishlist for defenders.
Instead, the Red Devils are said to favor Sevilla’s Jules Kounde. Given its position in the Premier League, Manchester United will undoubtedly be looking to improve its defense and either Süle or Kounde would at least represent the chance for an upgrade along the Red Devils’ backline:

Süle is reportedly a very interesting figure to Chelsea as well and things could get dicey there with the deep-pocketed Londoners for Bayern Munich.
All of this, however, will be decided in the next few weeks as Bayern Munich prepares to address the contract situations of several players. Süle is, perhaps, the most interesting case of these possible extensions because it looks as if he could already be the odd-man out should the team run it’s customary 4-2-3-1 next season.
With Lucas Hernandez slated to step in for outgoing starter David Alaba and with summer transfer Dayot Upamecano expected to take over for Jerome Boateng, Süle could be assessing his situation and potentially even looking for an exit.
Then again, if Bayern Munich hires a manager who runs a back-three, Sülecould find himself in a much more comfortable position.
The next few weeks will be very telling for the big man.
