Former Bayern Munich midfielder Philippe Coutinho has been out of action since December with a knee injury and the 28-year-old has been very open about the long road of this recovery.
Marca captured an Instagram post from Coutinho, where he opened up with some deep thoughts on how he is handling the arduous journey back to action:
Philippe Coutinho has admitted that his recovery from a knee injury is taking time as he continues his fitness work in Brazil. The midfielder hasn’t played for Barcelona since a 1-1 draw against Eibar in December and there is no date set for his return.
“I’m working hard and I’m convinced that I will come back better and stronger to do what I love most,” Coutinho said on Instagram. “Each day is a new battle, which requires my all. The recovery is slow, requires patience and dedication. “Everything is mapped out and there is time for every purpose on god’s green earth.”
There is still much speculation on Coutinho’s future and where exactly he will be playing next season, but his hard work during this rehab will at least put him in a position to find a new club during the summer.
