Bayern Munich II goalkeeper Michael Wagner will leave the club this summer on a free transfer. The 20 year old goalkeeper will join Türkgücü Munich; however, the contract terms were not disclosed.

“Michael enjoyed top training at FC Bayern, and now he can develop further with us from the new season onwards,” Türkgücü sporting director Roman Plesche said. “He is a goalkeeper with good play skills and strengths in one-on-one. He also has enormous jumping power and can do it convince on the line. We are happy to be able to sign such a talented keeper. “

Wagner has been with Bayern II for three seasons now and with the club for ten years. While he spent the majority of the current season as the backup, he did receive three starts in 3.Liga. Unfortunately for him, he was passed in the rotation for Lukas Schneller this season when Ron-Thorben Hoffmann was injured.

With uncertainty facing Bayern II with their goalkeeping corps heading into next season (and, frankly, whether or not they will be in the 3.Liga), Wagner has decided to leave the club now for a club that will be in the 3.Liga next season.
