Ahead of the upcoming Bayern Munich vs. Paris Saint-Germain Champions League clash, Kylian Mbappe spoke to RTL about how this year will be different and why PSG will not get caught looking ahead to a rematch with the Bavarians.
Speaking in an interview with RTL (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), the 22-year-old France international noted that this year’s version of the Bayern-PSG showdown will be different as it will be played over two legs.
“Losing the final last year hurt. We’re playing against them again but it’s a different context. We’ve learned a lot since that final,” Mbappe said. “They’re a great team. We’re playing the first game away. We will give our best to try to go through.”

“Before (the Bayern Munich match) there is an important league match (vs Lille), which is another major objective,” said Mbappe. “And we will do a real stock take at the end of the season.”
Surely, another major difference that Mbappe did not cover between this season and last season is that Robert Lewandowski is expected to be on the shelf for both matches.
