Say it ain’t so!
Hansi Flick announced that he will be leaving Bayern Munich after the season, but the news was not necessarily shocking to observers who have been closely following the recent rift between Flick and sporting director Hasan “Brazzo” Salihamidizic.
Flick and Salihamidzic are clearly two brilliant men, who are great at their respective jobs — but also two men with such differing views that they cannot co-exist under one roof on Säbener Straße.
Despite attempts to get the duo on the same page, nothing could apparently be worked out and Flick seems set to leave the club at the end of this season — if the Bayern Munich board will let him go.
It is widely-assumed that Flick will move to the DFB to take over for Joachim Löw, but it is quite unclear how easily the Bavarians will make that happen. With a contract that runs through 2023, Bayern Munich might not be eager to let such a prized manager leave early.
Anyway, check out this stream to see how it all came down to this.
