Injury Update: Bayern Munich’s Lucas Hernandez could miss the Wolfsburg match, but Leon Goretzka might return

There was some good news, but it was mostly static for Bayern Munich’s walking wounded.

Per a report from kicker (as captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich’s list of available players could be slight altered from the group that Hansi Flick had available on Tuesday. Leon Goretzka could actually return for this weekend’s Bundesliga match against Wolfsburg, but the status of Lucas Hernandez is in doubt.

Here is the rundown:

  • Hernandez: The star from Tuesday’s Champions League match is still battling bruised ribs and his status is once again in doubt.
  • Robert Lewandowski: The Polish Hitman is out for the Wolves and is expected to make his return on April 24 against Mainz 05.
  • Serge Gnabry: Gnabry is due to see his quarantine formally end at “the start of next week.”
  • Niklas Süle: The big defender is expected to miss the game against Wolfsburg.
  • Goretzka: Dare I say...good news? Goretzka was listed as the “most likely to return to the squad against Wolfsburg.”

Douglas Costa and Corentin Tolisso, of course, remain out.
