Neymar compares PSG win over Bayern Munich to stealing someone’s date

Paris Saint-Germain was obviously extremely happy to bounce Bayern Munich from the Champions League. Manager Mauricio Pochettino credited his team’s focus for being able to turn away such a quality opponent.

“We were very focused. It was a really tough game - I’m happy, the players deserve kudos. To win and qualify for the semi-finals is an incredible moment for us,” said Pochettino (per

Neymar, who was an absolute terror to del with — even if his end product was lacking, thought his team’s 1-0 defeat was “great.”

“First and foremost, it was a great game of football for all the fans, with lots of chances in the goal area,” said Neymar. “We are very happy to have made it through and are satisfied that we are in the semifinals. We prevailed against a strong team, the defending champions. Congratulations to the whole team. We have to enjoy it now.”
