Bayern put in a brave effort but it was not enough to undo the damage from the first leg; Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting scored a good goal late in the first half. Bayern had to count on Manuel Neuer and their lucky stars for not conceding in this game.
A tired Bayern huffed and puffed, pushed and pushed, but just could not find their way. It was a good effort and now, all that remains to be seen is what happens in the Bundesliga and what happens with Hansi Flick.

*It is better to assess who was available than who wasn’t for Bayern; the bench was really thin.
*This was Bayern’s first ever win at Parc des Princes. Bayern’s last away loss in the UEFA Champions League was in Parc des Princes under Carlo Ancelotti, 3-0.
