Per an announcement from the club website, Bayern Munich has hired Danny Galm as U-19 coach. The 35-year-old Galm will take over the A-Junior squad for the 2021/22 season.

“Danny Galm has already gained many years of experience in the youth sector and has always been very successful with his teams. We had him in our sights for quite some time and are very pleased that he will be working with us in the youth sector starting in the summer,” said Bayern Munich campus director Jochen Sauer.

Bayern Munich provided some background information on Galm’s experience:

Galm worked for the past five years in the TSG 1899 youth performance center and most recently trained the Kraichgauer U17s. Born in Miltenberg, he made it into the third division as a player. In the past few months, Galm completed the DFB football training course together with Danny Schwarz and Miroslav Klose.

“FC Bayern is one of the largest and most successful clubs in the world with enormous charisma. I’m really looking forward to my new role at the FC Bayern Campus, to my new team and to the city of Munich,” said Galm. “I want to do my part to ensure that the club continues to work so successfully and that we the boys on campus prepare even better for the step to become professionals. I can’t wait to start.”

Galm signed a three-year deal with Bayern Munich.
