Acquiring a Polish forward has worked out well in the past for Bayern Munich, so why not do it one more time?
The FC Bayern Frauen have signed Polish national team player Weronika Zawistowska to bolster the squad’s attacking corps for the future. Zawistowska will first head out on a loan assignment to gain more experience.
Zawistowska, who is making the move from Polish club KKS Czarni Sosnowiec, has signed a three-year deal with Bayern Munich.

“Weronika is a very talented offensive player with a lot of potential. We have drawn up a plan with Weronika how we want to develop her together over the next few years,” said Bianca Rech, FC Bayern Frauen sporting director (per FCBayern.com). “In the first step, we decided to loan her out in order to give her the opportunity to develop at a higher level and to gain important match practice.”
Zawistowska is looking forward to embarking on this new journey.
“It’s a huge step for me and I’m very happy that FC Bayern has placed their trust in me. I am very proud and grateful, but I know that I have to give something back for this opportunity,” said Zawistowska. “I want to develop as much as possible and work hard every day so that I can give something back for the trust that has been shown in me. I know how good you have to be to really play at Bayern Munich. That is my goal. And I’ll give everything to make this dream come true for me.”
