Bayern Munich defender Lucas Hernandez might be suffering from bruised ribs, but the French defender is apparently not going to let his injury stop him from playing, nor will that ailment quell his excitement for the match.
“We have a great chance and go to Paris with some clear ideas of how to play,” Hernandez said to FCBayern.com. “The team is motivated and deserves to be in the semifinals.”
It remains to be seen what kind of role Hernandez might have in the match, but the 25-year-old thinks his squad needs to repeat some of its successes from the first leg.
“We have to keep hold of the ball as much as possible. When we lose it, we need to be alert and apply a lot of pressure because they can counter quickly and are also very good without the ball,” said Hernandez. “We need to be wary, especially in Paris, and above all be ruthless. I think the most important thing in football is taking chances. I’ll give everything to win there and progress. I want that, the whole team wants that. Now it’s down to us to continue this adventure.”
