Per RMC Sport chief reporter Mohamed Bouhafsi, things are not exactly looking great with regard to injuries for Bayern Munich ahead of the team’s Tuesday showdown with Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
Do you want to hear the (relatively) good news first? Okay...let’s do that.
Good might be overstated a bit, though. Lucas Hernandez (bruised ribs) and Jerome Boateng (knee) are both expected to be available to play against PSG, but how effective each player can be against a top-flight ide like PSG while dealing with their respective injuries remains in doubt.
Now for the bad news.
After trying some running this morning, Leon Goretzka’s status is still in doubt as he deals with a muscle injury:
Lucas #Hernandez, qui a subi une contusion aux côtes, sera la contre le #PSG comme Jerome Boateng malgré sa douleur au genou. #Goretzka s’est essayé à la course ce matin. Présence compromise contre le #PSG mais un dernier test sera fait demain matin. #RMCsport

Lucas #Hernandez , who suffered a contusion to the ribs, will be there against the #PSG like Jerome Boateng despite his knee pain.#Goretzka tried his hand at running this morning. His availability could be compromised against #PSG but a final test will be done tomorrow morning.#RMCsport
There is at least some hope that Goretzka will be given the greenlight after another test tomorrow morning.
The video from Goretzka’s workout today at least looks somewhat encouraging (jogging with Leroy Sane and Marc Roca):

Keep your fingers crossed Bayern Munich fans.
