Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Keylor Navas was one of his club’s most valuable players during its Champions League win over Bayern Munich last Wednesday.
Navas, however, left Saturday’s Ligue 1 match against Strasbourg at halftime, which sparked a bit of a panic for many Paris Saint-Germain fans. PSG won the match 4-1, but the attention was on all on Pochettino’s coaching decisions after the game.
“He came off as a precaution. We have a large medical team, with great professionals, so we will see. We hope that there is nothing serious,” Pochettino said at his postgame press conference (as captured by Goal).

The media then shifted to questioning Pochettino on why Kylian Mbappe played 89 minutes against Strasbourg with Bayern Munich just a few days away.
“The best thing for Kylian to be ready is to play. If he senses that something is wrong, he will be the first to say it. We’re pros and we have medical staff, and that was the best decision for the team. People can say whatever they want. Everyone has their truth,” said Pochettino. “You can’t make everyone happy. When he is on the pitch, he is happy.”
Bayern Munich will face PSG in the second leg of their Champions League quarterfinal on Tuesday.
