Bayern Munich fan can start to feel a little better about the team’s depth along the backline as Jerome Boateng is already feeling good enough to partake in team training.
While Boateng did not participate in a full session, the fact that he is already back on the training pitch with his teammates is a terrific sign. Abendzeitung reported that Boateng was able to join the team for roughly 30 minutes of the group session:
So, now Boateng is back again, he took part in team training for about half an hour.
Abendzeitung also speculated that Boateng could already be on pace to play in the squad’s next Bundesliga game:
This could be enough for a game against Werder Bremen.
As for Douglas Costa, the veteran winger is still limited to individual training:
For Douglas Costa, however, only individual training is still possible after his hairline crack in his foot. Among other things, the Brazilian toiled on the sand court on Säbener Strasse on Tuesday.
For Costa, his best bet is to take his time and fully recover. Already slated for a return to Juventus after this season, a rush back to action before he is fully healthy could yield disastrous results for his future. Juventus is rumored to have Costa on the block for yet another summer move, so Costa’s healthy is of the utmost importance to both the Brazilian and his parent club.
