Bayern Munich II dispatched fifth place Wehen Wiesbaden with a 2-0 win at the Grünwalder Stadion on Sunday. It is a massive three points in Bayern II’s fight to stay in the 3.Liga for another season.
Angelo Stiller opened the scoring for Bayern II in the 25th minute when his shot/cross (shross) fooled everyone before smacking off the inside of the Wiesbaden goalpost. Goalkeeper Tim Boss reacted late and dove, knocking the ball into his own goal.
“I’m proud that we played to zero and did everything we can to defend the goal. Everyone who was on the pitch showed good team spirit,” assistant coach Dirk Teschke said. “You could see the absolute will that we want to win the game today.”
In stoppage time, Maximilian Zaiser put the nail in the coffin with a beautiful curling shot past the goalkeeper to give Bayern II the 2-0 win.

Bayern XI: Schneller - Stanisic, Lawrence, Feldhahn, Senkbeil, Vita (90. Lungwitz) - Stiller (58. Welzmüller), Rhein (81. Zaiser), Singh - Scott (81. Oberlin), Jastremski (90. Arp)
The three points moves Bayern II to 33 points on the season in 11th place and 8 points clear of the current relegation zone. The table is a little all over the place still, as KFC Uerdingen occupies 17th place on 25 points with only 24 games played, while Bayern II have played 26.
On Wednesday, March 10, Bayern II will host SC Verl. Both clubs are sitting mid-table, with Verl four points ahead of Bayern II in 8th place. The win against Wiesbaden was the first of a stretch of three straight home games, and Bayern II have a great opportunity to take all nine points from the matches.
