BPW Postgame Show: Bayern Munich wins a close one at home against Borussia Dortmund

It was one of the best Der Klassiker matches we’ve seen in a long time

I don’t think I have seen a more exciting game between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund since the days of Jürgen Klopp.

In what was an intense, back and forth match between the two biggest teams in German football, Bayern was able to pull away at the very end with two goals late in the game.

We cover the goals and the story lines in our postgame wrap-up:

FT: Bayern 4-2 BVB [Haaland (2’, 9’), Lewandowski (26’, 44’, 90’), Goretzka (88’)]
BVB Stats:
*4 shots, 3 SOG
*72% passing, 35% possession
FCB Stats:
*27 shots, 9 SOG
*88% passing, 65% possession
-This was a fun game from beginning to end
-Injuries hurt both sides
-Lewandowski now nine goals away from Gerd Müller’s record
