Bayern Munich and recently-committed German international Jamal Musiala has fully earned his first big-boy contract. Now, both the player and the club seem to have put pen to paper on a new deal.

According to a report by Bild (paywall), Musiala agreed to a five-year deal to stay at the Sabener Strässe at a rate of roughly €5 million per year. That equates to a contract totaling €25,000,000 and a rate of a little over €96,000/week.

Bayern had to sign him quickly as the German youngster had multiple suitors circling above him. As we covered earlier this week, The Athletic reported that an unnamed Premier League club was looking to sign Musiala. However, in this report on the contract signing from sport.de, the club from England who was most active in their pursuits was Liverpool. In addition to the Scousers, The Athletic revealed that Portuguese side Benfica was actively pursuing Musiala’s signature.

However, the Stuttgart born midfielder chose to stay at Bayern. Musiala joined the club in 2019 after being among the youth ranks at Chelsea. Since his move from Stamford Bridge, he has become one of the more exciting prospects in the Bayern Munich system.

Congratulations to Jamal, and we hope for nothing but the best from you in the coming years!
