At this point, watching the German national team is an exercise in stamina - that being the viewer’s stamina in how much longer they can deal with watching them.

No Bayern Munich players were injured in this game, but whatever pride the German national team has been paralyzed.

The last time Germany suffered a defeat in World Cup qualification was a 5-1 loss to England in September 2001. And now, in his last game during an international break, Joachim Löw breaks the defeat streak.

Final Score:
Germany 1-2 North Macedonia
- 45+2’ GOAL (Pandev) off a beautiful lofted ball into the box from Enis Bardhi, Pandev pokes it past ter Stegen to take the lead into the half (GER 0-1 MKD)
- 60’ PENALTY GOAL (Gündogan) given after Alioski’s leg trailed behind him and clipped Sane’s left foot, Gündogan makes it 1-1 sending it left. (GER 1-1 MKD)
- 86’ GOAL (Elmas) beautiful low cross, tidy finish deflecting off Can’s leg and past MaTS (GER 1-2 MKD)
