Former Bayern Munich treble winner Phillipe Coutinho has been dealing with a knee injury since January. He’s already had two operations to try and fix the issue — but to little avail. Marca, via 90min, report that Coutinho is experiencing pain which should have subsided by this stage of his recovery and that Coutinho’s April return date has now been pushed back to late May.
Now, Barcelona’s official website have said that Coutinho’s gone back to Brazil for further treatment in an attempt to resolve the issue. It’s also said that Coutinho recently spent some rehabilitation time in Qatar working with a specialist.

It’s no secret that Barcelona want to unload Coutinho in the future, so it is possible that he has played his final game for the Blaugranes. The “little magician” is on astronomical wages at the financially crippled club and selling him will be one of the first priorities for Barca in the summer.
Obviously, we at BFW wish Coutinho well in his rehabilitation. And who knows, we could see him back at the Allianz in the future, and perhaps even playing for Bayern. He certainly hasn’t burned any bridges in Munich and despite having a shaky start in Bavaria, always showed a positive attitude throughout his time at the club.
