According to a report by the Evening Standard, Bayern Munich reportedly has interest in PSV Eindhoven winger Noni Madueke.
Madueke is a 19-year-old English youth international, who is known for his prowess on the right-wing. A left-footer, Madueke certainly would fit the profile as a “Bayern Munich-type” inverted winger.
But exactly how interested are the Bavarians and who else might be trying to take a run at Madueke? The Evening Standard lists Leeds United and Crystal Palace as interested parties, but did not state Bayern Munich’s level of interest:
Sunday brings another step, another stage to showcase his talent for the forward - though few need more convincing, with clubs from Crystal Palace and Leeds to Bayern Munich and Europe’s elite already putting feelers out.
Madueke has shown confidence and conviction in the past, making the move abroad and turning down the prospect of a lucrative youth contract at Manchester United in the process. It has worked so far, now Boothroyd will hope he can pull it off again.
Whatever the case, Bayern Munich is always on the hunt for talent and Madueke seems like he might be another name to add to Hasan “Brazzo” Salihamidzic’s shadow team.
