Having reportedly reached a pre-contract agreement with highly-rated Omar Richards, Bayern Munich have entered the race for another Reading FC breakout star. According to English media outlet TeamTalk, the Bavarians have now set their eyes on Royals’ midfield sensation Michael Olise.

A left-footed central-midfielder who can also play on the right wing, young Olise has exploded onto the scene this season. The 19-year-old has made 36 (out of 38) appearances in the EFL Championship, with ten assists and five goals to his name so far.

Olise is said to have a long list of suitors, with the report stating that “more than half the Premier League clubs” including Chelsea and Manchester City, the two clubs where he spent his youth career, have already made enquiries about the teen’s availability to his agent.

The teenager spent time with Manchester City and Chelsea as a young player, before joining Reading’s youth system. However, both his former clubs are back in the market for him. Indeed, we can reveal more than half the Premier League have told his representatives they would like to take him.

Reading, however, could set certain transfer conditions that would make it easy for Olise to move abroad rather than switch clubs in England.

But with Reading demanding compensation of well over £10million, moving abroad could end up being an easier option. Clubs may not want to risk a transfer tribunal, as that is what would be needed if any club interested cannot agree a deal with Reading.

Olise himself is reportedly keen on the prospect of moving to another country. Bayern, however, will face a stiff competition from a host of European giants.

Bayern, though, are not the only interested party. We understand that Borussia Dortmund, PSG, Lyon, Atletico Madrid, AC Milan and Juventus are also keen.

Although Olise seems to be a direct competitor for Jamal Musiala’s spot, the Cannes-born could still be lured by his French comrades at Die Roten. The teenager would be welcomed by the likes of Kingsley Coman and Lucas Hernandez, who would help him settle quickly in Germany.
