The recruitment of Bayern Munich phenom Jamal Musiala was an extended process that saw Germany and England try to woo the talented youngster.
Ultimately, Germany came out the victors in the race to land the youngster and the 18-year-old made his senior team debut for Die Mannschaft in Thursday’s 3-0 FIFA World Cup Qualifier win over Iceland.

“It’s a huge moment for me and also for my family. It’s something I dreamt of when I was a child,” said Musiala (as captured by Bundesliga.com). “I was just looking forward to playing and I had a lot of fun. There’s a lot to come but I’m very proud and my family too.”
The humble midfielder was happy to be able to be a part of the camp and the fact that he made his debut was juts icing on the cake.
“I’m just happy to be here. It’s great,” Musiala explained. “I feel very proud to be here, with this great team. There are a lot of players that I already followed when I was younger. It’s an honor for me and my family to be in this team. I’m happy to be here and the start into the qualifiers is great. It’s very good.”
