The World Cup qualification began during the current international break. We’ve already seen some magnificent performances, like Germany’s win over Iceland. But what might interest Bayern Munich fans, is how good was Alphonso Davies for Canada yesterday.

Canada won 5:1 against Bermuda and started their qualifications strong. Bayern Munich’s young star was the “Man of the Match”, and for a reason. Davies had a hattrick of assists, and all three assists were for Cyle Larin.

Alphonso Davies plays as left-back for Bayern but usually plays on the wing for Canada. Yesterday he used his speed and terrorized the opposition. They just couldn’t find a solution to stop his deadly runs. If you watch the highlights, you can see that he could have finished the match with at least five assists. On top of everything, Sofascore gave Davies a 10/10 rating, which doesn’t happen that often.

After the perfect start, Alphonso Davies and company will play against the Cayman Islands on Sunday. We hope that Davies will continue his good form for Canada in the upcoming matches!
