Germany captured a 3-0 victory over Iceland behind early goals from Bayern Munich’s Leon Goretzka and Chelsea’s Kai Havertz and a second half score from İlkay Gündoğan. The Bavarians never looked back and won in a very convincing and — dare I say — impressive fashion.
On this episode we discuss the following:
- The absolutely insane start to the day that saw both Jonas Hofmann (COVID-19) and Marcel Halstenberg (exposure to Hofmann) placed into isolation.
- Germany’s fast start behind goals from Leon Goretzka and Kai Havertz.
- A changing of the guard in the midfield?
- An overall solid effort.
