Bayern Munich has entered into a strategic partnership with SSV Ulm 1846 Fußball to cooperate closely in the areas of talent promotion and talent identifications as announced on FCBayern.com.
“SSV Ulm is an ambitious fourth division team that is currently building modern, professional structures and is striving to return to professional football in the medium term. In addition, the location of the city of Ulm — still conveniently close to Munich, but with a different catchment area — is strategically very interesting for FC Bayern. I am delighted that we have found an ideal partner for developing talent at SSV Ulm,” said Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidžić.
For Ulm, there will be regular observations by its trainers with Bayern Munich’s junior teams, along with employee workshops on Bayern Munich’s campus to “familiarize them with the daily work in a top level junior training center.”
The partnership sounds like a win-win for both sides.
“We expect this cooperation, which is to remain the only one of its kind for us in Germany, to be an important step towards further optimizing our talent development in the future,” Bayern Munich campus director Jochen Sauer said.
