Report: Bayern Munich looking to sign at least two more players for summer transfer window

It could be a busy summer for Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan “Brazzo” Salihamidzic.

Per Tz reporter Manuel Bonke, Bayern Munich is looking to add at least two more players during the upcoming summer transfer window.

To date, the Bavarians have officially announced the signing of RB Leipzig center-back Dayot Upamecano, but have also been rumored to have signed Reading FC left-back Omar Richards. No official word has been released as of yet on Richards, however:

Lucas #Vazquez to the #FCBayern? Position (right side) & financial framework (free of charge) would fit into the profile. Because after #Upamecano &#ORichards at least two players should come in the summer. However, Corona complicates the Munich transfer planning.

Bonke indicated Tuesday’s report that Bayern Munich is in talks with Real Madrid right-back/right-wing Lucas Vazquez would fit the profile (position of need and a free transfer) that Bayern Munich is looking for.

Sport Bild’s Christian Falk, however, has put his brand of denial on the Vazquez rumor (which we also covered here):

With David Alaba and Douglas Costa leaving Bayern Munich this summer, and Jerome Boateng, Javi Martinez, Tiago Dantas, Corentin Tolisso all rumored to potentially transfer — plus Alexander Nübel being a candidate for a loan, it feels like Bayern Munich will have to do some major shopping this summer.

Further complicating things is the uncertain status of Niklas Süle as well. Süle’s contract expires in 2022 and Chelsea is among the clubs reportedly willing to make the big man an offer.

While it might seem unlikely that Bayern Munich will lose all of those players, sporting director Hasan “Brazzo” Salihamidzic could be a busy man in the coming months.
