Germany captain and Bayern Munich legend Manuel Neuer still feels the sting of Germany’s 6-0 loss to Spain last November.
The humiliating loss had a lasting effect on everyone involved and now Germany is looking to right it ship during this round of World Cup qualifiers.
“It will be important to take advantage of every training session and every game. We need to begin with a positive mindset right from the start, as we have several strong opponents in our group and all these games are crucial,” said Neuer (as captured by the DFB).

Neuer completely understands that this international break is key for Germany to re-establish a culture of consistency and winning.
“We all have to push ourselves and are looking forward to the next three games and the Euros this year,” said Neuer. “Our ambitions are high, we want to be as successful as possible and all can’t wait to get started.”
Neuer is one of four goalkeepers with Germany at the moment. The others include Marc-André ter Stegen, Bernd Leno, and Kevin Trapp.
