Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies picked up an ill-advised red card on a poor challenge during the Bavarians’ 4-0 victory over VfB Stuttgart, but the foul did not ultimately hurt his team.

The penalty for that challenge, however, will certainly hurt the Canadian youngster as he will miss the next two Bundesliga games per FCBayern.com:

FC Bayern will be without Alphonso Davies for the Bundesliga fixtures against RB Leipzig and Union Berlin after the Canadian was handed a two-match suspension by the Deutscher Fußball-Bund (DFB) for his red card against VfB Stuttgart. FC Bayern and Davies have accepted the judgement.

This is surely a learning moment for the supremely talented young Canadian. No doubt, Davies will be yearning to be on the pitch when Bayern Munich squares off against RB Leipzig on April 3rd.

it is expected that Lucas Hernandez will slide out to left-back to fill-in for Davies, while David Alaba will fill the left center-back role.

Jerome Boateng also picked up his fifth yellow card of the season against VfB Stuttgart, which means the veteran will miss the game as well.
