Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich still battling illness and didn’t travel to Germany camp on time

Not even Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich can fend off a bad illness.

There is not much that can slow Bayern Munich star midfielder Joshua Kimmich down, but apparently not even Kimmich is immune to feeling the effects of a bad illness.

Per Sportsbuzzer, Kimmich did not leave for international duty with his Bayern Munich mates due to his sickness:

Joshua Kimmich from FC Bayern and Robin Gosens from Atalanta Bergamo are not yet there. Kimmich last had to take a break due to a cold and, according to DFB press spokesman Jens Grittner, will travel. “There is now another look and waits for whether he will come tonight or during tomorrow,” says Grittner. In Gosens, the DFB has yet to wait for a more detailed investigation. The Serie A professional contracted a muscle injury.

The good news is that everyone seems confident that Kimmich will eventually get to the international camp; it just might come down to a matter of when.

Kimmich, of course, is a vital cog in Germany’s lineup and is arguably the team’s leader among the field players.
