If you ask some people around the Bayern Munich campus, you might find out that there really is no replacing team manager Kathleen Krüger and all that she does for the boys on Hansi Flick’s roster.
Somehow, though, the Bavarians have found a temporary replacement in former FC Köln reservist Bastian Wernscheid per Sport Bild:
The record champions have found a pregnancy replacement for team manager Kathleen Krüger (35), who is expecting her first child in May.
According to information from SPORT BILD and BILD, Bastian Wernscheid (31) will be the new Kathleen!
Wernscheid used to play in the second team of 1. FC Köln, where he started in 2013 in Marketing & Sales. In 2017 he then moved to FC Bayern, and in 2020 he became a “Senior Partnership Relations Manager.”
Now he is taking over Krüger’s duties. The job includes the entire organization around the team: flights, hotels, transfers on site, equipment in the cabin, planning the training camp.
Those are some big shoes to fill Bastian...good luck!
