Franck Ribéry back to the Bundesliga? The Frenchman addresses rumors on return

Will the legend make the comeback? Ribery could certainly imagine the return.

Will the Frenchman actually return to the Bundesliga? The former Bayern Munich star is certainly not opposed to the idea. Bild had found out Franck Ribéry can envision a potential stint with Eintracht Frankfurt one day. He certainly has the talent to play in the league and there is no doubt of his ability, but there are doubts in other areas.

His age and history of injuries are certainly not helping his case. Ribéry has suffered plenty of injuries over his career and had problems with his ankle especially. And while he has had only two real “season-ending” injuries, reaggravating injuries keep the forward out of the team sheet far too often.

Regardless, we might have to wait to see that return will happen. The 37-year-old says that it’s a little too early to start thinking about that comeback. “My priority is in Florence. I am satisfied, I am happy. This is a big mission for me. I always want to help. For my future, I don’t know yet,” Ribéry told Sky TV.

He moved from Bayern Munich to Fiorentina two years ago and has 13 goal contributions in his 42 appearances with the club. It looks as though Ribéry might still have some unfinished business in Italy and something to prove. We will see what happens this summer, when his contract will expire. Depending on how contract talks go, don’t be surprised if you see Ribéry facing Die Roten next season.
