Per a report from kicker (as captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMia), AS Monaco is interested in bringing in Bayern Munich back-up goalkeeper Alexander Nübel on a two-year- loan agreement.
Given Manuel Neuer’s status as unquestioned starter, Nübel could find a spell working under former Bayern Munich manager Niko Kovac very beneficial:
Nübel enjoys great appreciation at FC Bayern. His teammates call him „Nübelinho“ as a reference to Ronaldinho due to his abilities with his feet. Bayern want to establish Nübel to be Neuer's successor in the future. The goalkeeper can imagine going out on a 2-year loan [Kicker]

The 24-year-old former Schalke 04 man has reportedly been frustrated with his lack of opportunities this season. The player and his agent are undoubtedly looking at Neuer’s incredible form and thinking that the 2014 World Cup winner might be entrenched between the sticks at the Allianz Arena a little longer than expected.
Neuer is still just 34-years-old and has not shown any signs of slowing down after shaking off a couple of injury-riddled seasons in the 2017/2018 and 2018/2019 campaigns. For a young player like Nübel, getting far more playing time at Monaco would appear to be a more advantageous spot for the immediate future.
