Bayern Munich pummeled BIIK Kazygurt in the second leg of their UEFA Women’s Champions League Round of 16 3-0 and advanced to the Quarterfinals of the competition with a 9-1 aggregate scoreline.
Captain Lina Magull converted one and missed one penalty in the first half, while Simone Boye Sørensen added Bayern’s second goal in the first half giving the Bavarians a 2-0 lead at the break. In the second half, Bayern were awarded their third penalty of the match and Sydney Lohmann converted to put Bayern up 3-0 and help them coast to victory.

“Getting to the quarter-finals was the minimum goal for us. I’m curious who’s waiting for us, but we want to compete with the best internationally,” Magull said. “That’s why I’m looking forward to the draw.”

Fellow Bundesliga club Wolfsburg will join Bayern in the next round, as they beat LSK Kvinner 4-0 on aggregate.
Bayern will take the field on Sunday, March 14 against SGS Essen in the Frauen Bundesliga. Then, on Friday, March 19, Bayern will travel to take on Hoffenheim in the Quarterfinals of the DFB Pokal Frauen.
Quarterfinals Draw
The Quarterfinals are now almost set, with six of the eight places locked in. The draw will be held on March 12, and the games will be played on March 23/24 and March 31/April 1.
