Bayern Munich streamlines HR processes with SAP partnership

SAP provides a cloud based system that will allow Bayern Munich to manage its global workforce more efficiently.

The Office

Bayern Munich’s HR department has made moves to match the performance of the team on the field. They have teamed up with SAP to standardize their HR processes uniformly across the club, using SAP’s cloud based SuccessFactors Employee Central per FCBayern.com. The German Rekordmeister can now manage their global workforce of approximately 1000 employees.

With this implementation, FC Bayern executive vice-chairman Jan-Christian Dreesen said that HR can focus more on the employees, “Beforehand, we worked with more time-consuming processes, and through the implementation, we were not only able to digitalize our processes, but also redefine them. With a more efficient environment, our HR team is once again much more able to place the employee at the forefront. With the implementation of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, our HR team can focus on what they do best - strategic, value-oriented HR work.”

Thomas Saueressig — a member of the SAP SE Executive Board, responsible for SAP Product Engineering — commented on how this move can benefit Bayer in all aspects of business, “As an official Platinum Partner, SAP has been working with FC Bayern since 2014 to develop innovative solutions that help the club achieve its sporting and business goals. With the introduction of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, we have extended this partnership to the area of Human Experience Management. This enables FC Bayern to accelerate its growth and remain competitive at all times — both on and off the pitch.”

We may not always think of the many employees that work tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure that FC Bayern succeed on the field. Bayern’s HR professionals will be able to serve the needs of these employees around the world. Once again Bayern shows it wants to be the very best — on and off the field.
