Boateng to London? (Sports Mole)

Could Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel be preparing a contingency proposal to Jerome Boateng? Sports Mole captured a Bild report that stated Chelsea might make a move for the veteran center-back if the English club cannot procure either Bayern Munich’s Niklas Süle or RB Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano:

Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Chelsea. The recent appointment of Thomas Tuchel is expected to lead to Chelsea bringing in at least one new centre-back during the summer transfer window.

RB Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano and Bayern’s Niklas Sule have both been identified as possible options by key figures behind the scenes at Stamford Bridge. However, according to Bild, Chelsea are also prepared to consider an approach for Boateng ahead of next season.

Here is a brief tweet from Sport Bild’s Christian Falk acknowledging the Boateng rumor:

Mr True Forecast: Also @JeromeBoateng will still be on the list of candidates for Chelsea

Chelsea is still also heavily concentrated on Alaba as well (AS)

One year I was working for a guy who held a golf outing and silent auction to benefit his son’s baseball team. After a day of golfing (I love to play, but suck) and drinking (I love to drink, but sometimes make bad decisions), I hit the silent auction and that was a bad idea.

Like a really bad idea.

I walked out of that with a nail gun I didn’t need, some cheap piece of jewelry my wife probably never wore, and a whole lot of regret.

Anyway, the point is...even on my drunkest, most free-spending night, I probably couldn’t manage to splash cash around like Chelsea chasing Bundesliga players over the past two years:

Chelsea will attempt to hijack Real Madrid’s move for Bayern Munich defender Alaba, according to The Guardian. It was reported Alaba, who is out of contract at the end of the season, had agreed to a four-year deal with Madrid. Chelsea have been linked with numerous centre-backs.

Goal reports the Premier League club’s signing plans are linked to Bayern Munich’s transfer plans as the Bundesliga giants are favourites to sign RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano. Upamecano and Niklas Sule, another Bayern defender, are also said to be targets for Chelsea.

Silva being courted intensely (Transfer Market Web)

Eintracht Frankfurt striker Andre Silva has had himself quite a season so far and some other clubs have noticed, namely AC Milan, Sevilla, and Porto:

According to Transfermarkt.de, both Atletico Madrid and Wolverhampton are after Portuguese international striker André Silva (25). Playing for Eintracht Frankfurt since 2019/20, quite successfully indeed, former AC Milan, Sevilla FC and Porto hitman is currently on a deal with German club until June 2023, and is worth around 24 million euros.

Thauvin would accept move to Milan (Calciomercato)

One-time Bayern Munich target Florian Thauvin is reportedly thinking about a move to Italy. AC Milan would like to offer Thauvin a salary of €2.8 million per year, but the prospect of playing with Zlatan Ibrahimovic might be the primary driver for Thauvin to make a change:

The negotiation between the footballer’s agents and Frederic Massara continues according to the right tracks, so much so that there is a moderate optimism in the parts of Casa Milan despite the strong competition from various Spanish and English clubs. One last step before closing the deal, Florian Thauvin is very tempted by the possibility of joining Zlatan Ibrahimovic at Milan.

Thauvin could also opt to stay with Olympique Marseille, but the 28-year-old also could just simply be looking for a change of scenery at this point in his career.

Bayern pledges support to partner on Super Bowl Sunday (@FCBayernUS)

Bayern Munich is giving some support to its partner, the Kansas City Chiefs on Super Bowl Sunday:

Don’t let him fool you, though, Thomas Müller is a fan of Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady as well:
