Bayern Munich prospect Tiago Dantas has not gotten much game time since coming over to Germany on loan from Benfica, but he has been training with the club’s first-team consistently in 2021.

During today’s session, Dantas went down after being the recipient of a hard challenge from fellow deep-substitute Bouna Sarr. Per Bild, Dantas let out a scream and then clutched his leg in pain:

Midfield jewel Tiago Dantas (20) remained on the ground in the final match on Thursday morning after being hit by right-back Bouna Sarr (29). The Portuguese held his left leg and screamed in pain.

A second of shock for Hansi Flick (56), too! The coach immediately went to his dream newcomer (on loan from Benfica Lisbon since the summer) and took care of him.

Fortunately, Dantas was able to continue after a short treatment and a hug from Flick.

Thankfully for Dantas, the knock appeared to just be worse in the shock of the moment. Below is a tweet from @iMiaSanMia, which captured Bild’s pics from the training session:

Maybe Flick has some Mr. Miyagi-like powers inside him that help out in situations like this?
