Bayern Munich partners with Therabody for player performance and health initiatives

Bayern Munich announced a formal partnership with Therabody (formerly known as Theragun®) for a multi-year regional deal. Therabody will become the club’s official recovery technology partner in the North America, China, Germany, Austria and Switzerland regions.

Dr. Jason Wersland, Therabody’s founder and Chief Wellness Officer is ecstatic about the partnership.

Therabody created the first-ever handheld percussive therapy device, Theragun, which is used to accelerate recovery, prevent injuries, and improve overall athletic performance. Since its official launch in 2016, the company evolved from Theragun to Therabody, an entire ecosystem of products, content, and services that are rooted in science, research, and innovation.

As part of the regional partnership, FC Bayern’s team of experts, coaches, and athletes will integrate Therabody’s devices — including the Theragun PRO — into their training, recovery, and injury prevention protocols.

The device is Bluetooth enabled and seamlessly integrates with the Therabody app, enabling players to have guided, effective warm up and recovery protocols while they’re on their own or on-the-go. The club will also have access to Therabody University, Therabody’s educational division led by Dr. Jason and his network of world-renowned health and wellness experts.
