Training Update: Leon Goretzka and Javi Martinez are getting closer to a return for Bayern Munich

Most of the Bayern Munich squad enjoyed an off day on Wednesday, but Leon Goretzka and Javi Martinez were hard at work in hopes of being able to play this weekend.

Per a report from FCBayern.com, the midfield duo took part in a physical workout and also did some ball work:

Leon Goretzka, and Javi Martínez had already completed an individual unit the day before and are continuing their advanced program. In addition to a few sprints and coordination exercises, the duo also worked intensively with the ball on Wednesday morning. The two midfielders were still behind in training after a corona infection, while Goretzka was also plagued by muscular problems according to his coach Hansi Flick.

As for Serge Gnabry, he was limited to running laps, while On the other hand, things went a Alexander Nübel (ankle) and the young talent Malik Tillman (ACL) were able to jog as well.
