In a somewhat surprising Monday announcement, Borussia Mönchengladbach manager Marco Rose will move to Borussia Dortmund after the season.
While Rose was linked to Dortmund several times in recent months, the timing was really the real shocking aspect of the move. As of now, Dortmund resides in sixth place of the table, while M’Gladbach is in seventh. The two clubs will be heavily competing just to clinch European football at this point, let alone a top-four Champions League position:

In recent days, Borussia Mönchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl had been publicly discussing Rose’s future with the club, but it appears that the Borussia Dortmund rumors were accurate.
“We have held a lot of talks in recent weeks to discuss Marco’s future,” said Eberl in a statement issued by the club’s social media account. “Unfortunately, he has opted to trigger a clause in his contract and leave this summer. Until then, we will work hard to achieve our goals in the league, cup and Europe together.”
