No one can deny that Bayern Munich manager Hansi Flick has overseen one of the most incredible runs in football history.
With 58 wins, 5 draws, 5 defeats, and 6 trophies under his belt, Flick has been able will his players to a nearly unprecedented level of success since taking over in late 2019. In the moment, however, it can sometimes be difficult to really appreciate what you have achieved and while Flick is normally “all business”, capturing the Club World Cup did allow him just a few seconds to reflect on an amazing run.
“The development over the past year has been just phenomenal,” Flick said (per FCBayern.com). “What this team has achieved is simply outstanding. They’ve achieved something historic - six titles in one season. Only Barcelona have managed that so far. This is without doubt the best season FC Bayern München — even with all their success — have ever played.”
Indeed, and the team would not be as complete — or as successful — without its manager.
