The couple had suffered through a rocky, tumultuous, and public break-up, which spilled on to social media and was publicly covered by many news outlets. The details and back-and-forth accusations that stemmed from the break-up were unfortunate and appeared to show the stress and strain that both Lenhardt and Boateng were feeling after the schism.
Regardless, no further details have been released about Lenhardt’s cause of death. At just 25-years-old, Lenhardt surely had a bright modeling career and long life ahead of her.
Boateng, of course, is in Qatar with Bayern Munich in preparation for the team’s Club World Cup final on Thursday. Bayern Munich has not made any official statement as of yet regarding the news or if it could potentially affect Boateng’s status for Thursday’s Club World Cup finale.
Update 8:53AM EST
