Former Bayern Munich manager and current Germany boss Hansi Flick called up 27 players for this international set of World Cup qualifiers, but is not quite sure if he will use all of them over the course of these games.
According to Flick, his coaching staff will not make a decision on how to progress until after the Liechtenstein match. It seems possible, Germany could release a host of players to return home early.
“These are things that we can only decide after the game against Liechtenstein,” Flick told the DFB website.
Whoever ends up suiting up for the Liechtenstein and Armenia games, Flick just wants to ensure that Germany continues to build on its recent success.
“We want to say goodbye to the year on a positive note. I expect the team to be just as passionate and active as in previous games,” Flick said. “One should recognize our idea of football. We did our homework. Now we want to take another step forward.”
