Bayern Munich draw Carl Zeiss Jena in DFB Pokal Frauen Quarterfinals

The Bavarians are onto the Quarterfinals of the DFB Pokal Frauen and will face Carl Zeiss Jena.

Bayern Munich were drawn against Carl Zeiss Jena in the Quarterfinals of the DFB Pokal Frauen. The Quarterfinals will be played on March 1-2, 2022. The draw took place on Saturday and was completed by former Bayern player Verena Schweers and Germany national team coach Martina Voss-Tecklenburg.

In the Round of 16, Bayern beat Eintracht Frankfurt 4-2, and Jena topped Karlsruher SC 3-1. Bayern and Jena played last season in the Second Round of the DFB Pokal Frauen, and the Bavarians won 2-0.

Bayern will be favorites in the match. Currently, the Bavarians are 16 points ahead of Jena in the Frauen Bundesliga table. Jens Scheuer will be pleased that his side avoided a match with fellow top Bundesliga sides Wolfsburg, Bayer Leverkusen, and Turbine Potsdam.

The other three matches are Wolfsburg vs. SC Sand, SGS Essen vs. Bayer Leverkusen, and Henstedt Ulzburg vs. Turbine Potsdam.
