The feeling of getting to watch Robert Lewandowski play is unreal which means that one can only imagine what it feels like to play alongside the best striker in the world. Southampton FC’s Polish international Jan Bednarek recently spoke about how exhilarated he feels to work with the Bayern Munich No.9.
In an interview given to Daily Echo, the 25-year old explained how Lewandowski helps set an example for young, emerging players at the national team.
“It’s a great time for me because you can learn a lot, you can watch what things the best striker in the world is doing. How he behaves, how much of a professional he is and I think for us younger players he is a great example and a player which gives you a lot of motivation,” Bednarek said. “He can show us there is no limit. With hard work and conviction, you can reach the highest level and be the best player in the world.”
Bednarek is named alongside Lewandowski in Paulo Sousa’s squad for Poland’s World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Hungary later this month. Poland now ranks second in Group I, having earned 17 points in 9 games – three points short of group toppers England – with two games left to play.
