Bayern Munich “not serious” yet on pursuits of Chelsea’s Antonio Rüdiger and Gladbach’s Matthias Ginter

It seems like Bayern Munich wants to try and retain  Niklas Süle before plotting to get his potential replacements.

Niklas Süle’s contract situation at Bayern Munich is tenuous at best, but that does not mean that the Bavarians are ready to go out and sign his replacement.

Headed toward free agency in the summer of 2022, Süle should be a popular transfer target for many teams given his status as a very good player — and the fact that he can signed without anyone having to pump out any cash for a fee.

Because of that, there have been numerous stories about who Bayern Munich might be interested in should Süle leave. The two most common names have been Germany internationals Antonio Rüdiger and Matthias Ginter.

Per kicker (as captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMia), however, the interest from Bayern Munich in those players — at this stage — is not all that serious. The German duo’s names have come up in discussion, but their own respective statuses as free agents will make competition fierce on both players. With Bayern Munich still wanting to get a deal done with Süle, things might not get serious on either Rüdiger or Ginter for quite a while.
