While the status of Bayern Munich defender Lucas Hernandez is still uncertain for Tuesday’s Champions League match against Benfica, the Frenchman might have actually dodged a serious injury based on a report from Bild.
Hernandez was at Säbener Straße earlier today with a bandage on his foot, but did not appear to be nursing a serious injury:
Bayern have to tremble more with defense boss Lucas Hernández (25). In Berlin he had to leave the field after 68 minutes due to an injury, and the next day he came to the physiotherapist with a bandaged left foot. Use questionable. But it didn’t look like a worse injury.
Meanwhile, kicker is also reporting that Hernandez and midfielder Leon Goretzka should be able to play against Benfica.
As for coach Julian Nagelsmann, the coach is expected to be back...if he can produce a negative PCR test and have no symptoms:
Julian Nagelsmann (34) should return to Bayern on Tuesday in the Champions League against Benfica Lisbon. Then the 14-day corona isolation ends.
Prerequisite: a negative PCR test. And it has to be symptom-free, otherwise the isolation could extend even further.
