The contract negotiations between Bayern Munich and defender Niklas Süle are not progressing per a report from Sport1 journalist Florian Plettenberg.
The Germany international has had a fantastic start to his season and looks to be on his way to a very strong campaign. With his contract set to expire next summer, time is of the essence on getting a new deal done.
Plettenberg says things have hit a roadblock and that, once again, Süle is hearing overtures from England. Moreover, Süle also wants to be paid €10 million per season, which should be a pretty reasonable number for a top-flight center-back, who is only 26-years-old:
❗️News #Süle: Right now it’s possible that he will leave #FCBayern next summer as a free agent. Talks are going very slowly. Despite of his good performances some bosses hesitate. He has got requests from . He wants to earn more than €10m/year. JN wants him to extend. @SPORT1

Interestingly, Plettenberg also noted that Julian Nagelsmann wants Süle back as well. Should Süle continue with his excellent form, things will only get more difficult. Certainly, deep-pocketed English clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, or Tottenham Hotspur would be willing to pay Süle even more than €10 million per season given he could be leaving Bayern Munich on a free transfer.
Buckle up everything...this could be a bumpy ride.
